Much of Spring Breakers’ cultural cachet comes from its stunt casting of former Disney stars Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez as depraved bad girls on the Redneck Riviera. It was perhaps inevitable that a parody video featuring actual Disney princesses would surface, but this Collegehumor.com clip is smart in how it recognizes that Snow White, Ariel, Jasmine, and Cinderella might be just as anxious as Hudgens and Gomez to break out of their squeaky-clean roles. The video gets director Harmony Korine’s Day-Glo avant-sleaze style right, and familiar quotes from Disney classics (“It means ‘no worries for the rest of your days,’ ya’ll”) are deliciously mangled in the new context. Bonus points for the animated bluebirds that handle Cinderella’s bikini top.
