Benedict Cumberbatch affirms Sherlock's fourth season with foolhardy disregard for decorum

 Quite foolhardy indeed

Although Benedict Cumberbatch would seem to be busy with his burgeoning movie career, as well as his ongoing comedic ballet with a bothersome umbrella that refuses to stay closed, causing many a delightful bumble-stumble through Covent Garden, the actor and merry-andrew says Sherlock is indeed confirmed to return for a fourth season. The revelation was made by Cumberbatch himself, who rashly, impudently, told RadioTimes that he and the (also seemingly booked solid) Martin Freeman had “agreed to two more series, but I could get into trouble for saying that,” likely then casting a quick sidelong glance at a nearby bobby, who shook his baton at Cumberbatch as a warning. Provided Cumberbatch avoids being hauled off for his impertinence, he says he’s “doing these three [episodes of the upcoming series] and another three,” making for six more Sherlocks in all. Cumberbatch then excused himself to chase after his disobedient brolly, which had again flown open and begun cartwheeling recklessly toward a melon stand.  [via Collider]
