Bon Iver releasing second album in June

See all latest

Nearly three years after Justin Vernon’s self-recorded debut For Emma, Forever Ago became a critical smash and landed him some plum Kanye West guest spots—and two years after the too-brief follow-up Blood Bank EP—Vernon is finally set to return with his second album as Bon Iver. The self-titled record will debut on June 21 on Jagjaguwar, with the promise that For Emma’s ghostly, rustic folk will be expanded with horns, strings, keyboards, and guitars that the press release describes as “silky.” Cover art, track listing, and a preview video is below. On second thought, those electric guitars actually do sound pretty silky.

Track listing:

1. Perth
2. Minnesota, WI
3. Holocene
4. Towers
5. Michicant
6. Hinnom, TX
7. Wash.
8. Calgary
9. Lisbon, OH
10. Beth/Rest
