Chicago, win tickets to an early screening of 300: Rise Of An Empire

In 2006, the film 300 hit theaters and sparked a surge of “NO, THIS IS (insert annoying thing here)!” memes and spoofs. The film, based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel of the same title, ushered in an era of historically based, slow motion action-adventure films.  Now, eight years later, the next chapter in the 300 saga has arrived and we’ve got a chance for you to see it early and for free. The screening for 300: Rise Of An Empire is March 3 at 7 p.m. in Chicago. The first 50 people who click here and enter the code AVCLUBZZ30 will score a pass good for two people. Remember, admission is first come, first serve so arrive early! A full synopsis and trailer for the film are below.

“Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster 300, this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. 300: Rise of an Empire pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Artemisia (Eva Green), vengeful commander of the Persian navy.”
