It’s Christmas week and we’ve all got last-minute shopping to do, so we won’t dwell too long on the introductions. We’ll just note a few uneven but entertaining movies that might pass the time well over the holidays, including the broad German foodie comedy Soul Kitchen, the snappy high school Hawthorne riff Easy A, and—believe it or not—Oliver Stone’s kitschy, superfluously stylish Wall Street sequel. There’s also one box set of note: The Films Of Rita Hayworth, featuring intros and interviews with Martin Scorsese, Baz Luhrmann and Patricia Clarkson. We hope to cover the Hayworth set in more detail in the far-off future world of 2011.
