Beverly Hills 90210's Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth to team up and solve mysteries

Beverly Hills 90210 alumni Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth are looking to team up to fight crime in Mystery Girls, a show Spelling is co-creating for ABC Family. The duo would play former TV co-stars who played teen detectives years ago, and who find themselves entangled in a real-life mystery after a witness to a crime insists on speaking only to their fictional alter egos.

It sounds somewhat similar to LookwellConan O'Brien and Robert Smigel's infamous, never-aired pilot starring Adam West as a former TV detective who takes it upon himself to solve crimes—albeit with the former girls from 90210. No word yet on whether any more 90210 alum will drop by, but don't be surprised when the mystery-solving duo discovers that the crotchety old owner of the haunted amusement park turns out to be Jason Priestly in a rubber mask.
