Doctor Who to give it a rest with all the Daleks

Citing the fact that Doctor Who has faced down and defeated the Daleks “about 400 times” in its history, showrunner Steven Moffat says that the good Doctor won’t be battling his mutant robot enemies again this season. “We thought it was about time to give them a rest,” Moffat tells the BBC. “There's a problem with the Daleks. They are the most famous of the Doctor's adversaries and the most frequent, which means they are the most reliably defeatable enemies in the universe.” Expect the Daleks to return next season, their absence explained by a retreat to a Tibetan monastery to really get their heads together or something.
