To the surprise of anyone who hasn't been paying attention these past few months, Spin has announced it will cease all print publication. The magazine will continue to exist from here on out solely as an online entity.
Late last year Spin announced it was going to a bi-monthly, more in-depth print format. This year, the magazine was purchased by BuzzMedia, prompting rumors of its impending print demise—rumors that have now proved true. Oddly, the news came not in the form of an official press release, but as a letter that came attached to an issue of Car And Driver, the magazine Spin subscribers will receive in lieu of their music publication now (because cars have radios or something).
