After a few years of false starts, cult British comedy The IT Crowd is coming back for a reunion, after creator Graham Linehan finally tried turning it off and on again. Entertainment Weekly confirms a report first floated by Bleeding Cool that the sitcom about two guys toiling in tech support will return for a 40-minute finale episode to be filmed in the coming weeks, with star Chris O’Dowd set to reprise his role despite his increasingly crowded schedule. Other major cast members Richard Ayoade, Katherine Parkinson, and Matt Berry are also expected to be back for the special that isn’t the fifth season fans were previously promised, but should at least help to provide some semblance of closure. No word on what the special will be about, obviously, but we’re guessing someone finally types “Google” into Google and breaks the Internet, thereby negating any further need for an IT team.
