A new app that allows users to make calls from temporary phone numbers and then delete those numbers--called "Burner"--reminded plenty of folks of the disposable phones used by the various dealers and runners on The Wire, including the folks over at The Aggregate. While looking for an appropriate clip to run with the burner story, they came across the below video, which shows what happens when you call the number Marlo gives Levy in a particular episode of the show. Rather than just being a fake number that goes to nowhere, callers to the number even to this day, several years after the show ended, get the message heard in the video, a clip of Marlo's famous "my name is my name" speech. The Easter egg proves that the greatest shows never die, they just continue to reveal how awesome they are years later.
