Two students, Michael Piazza and Toniko Pantoja, have done the impossible. Through no easy feat, their animated tribute to Moonrise Kingdom has elevated Wes Anderson’s meticulously adorable style to new soaring heights of tweedom. The two have re-created some of the film’s finer runaway moments in a neatly flowing montage, a convention not unusual in Anderson’s oeuvre. As fleeting as the wispy sense of adventure found in the movie, the montage clocks in just under a minute. Now, if someone from the Internet could please just animate moments from Bottlerocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited, and The Fantastic Mr. Fox, we could all finally move on with our day, thank you very much.
