Jimmy Fallon, The Roots, and some Muppets want to know how to get to Sesame Street

The Late Night With Jimmy Fallon crew debuted its latest “classroom instruments” cover last night, in which a collection of outsized personalities sings the Sesame Street theme song—and also there are Muppets. Stick through the first minute of the video for a roll-call verse from Black Thought, his rhymes punctuated by Abby Cadabra in spite of the fact that Cookie Monster is clearly the Sesame Street cast member with the most hip-hop experience. If any B-sides from the session emerge, hopefully they feature Grover, Cookie, and Elmo revisiting their version of the Beastie Boys’ “Sure Shot.”
