Karen O's delicate little ditty from the Her soundtrack is now available in its entirety

That Karen O song featured in the trailer for Spike Jonze’s Her is now available in its entirety. “The Moon Song” was recorded by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman at home, was written for and inspired by the movie, and is, as anyone who’s seen the Her trailer might expect, both hauntingly spare and kind of romantic. In the film, the song is sung by the real/digital duo of Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson.

Jonze and O have worked together before on the soundtrack to 2009’s Where The Wild Things Are. O was nominated for both a Grammy and a Golden Globe for her contributions to that film.

The rest of the music for Her was composed by Arcade Fire.

Her hits theaters in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto Dec. 18—just in time for Oscar nominations!—and will be available in theaters everywhere Jan. 10.
