Kyra Sedgwick, who loves closing things, will join the Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast for two episodes as a deputy chief who’s intent on closing the 99th precinct. Entertainment Weekly reports that Sedgwick will play Madeline Wuntch, a longtime rival of the Nine-Nine’s Captain Holt. Now Holt’s superior, Wuntch is hell-bent on shuttering his precinct.
Sedgwick’s guest appearance on Brooklyn Nine-Nine marks her first TV appearance in which she tries to close things since The Closer—which ran for seven years and earned her a Golden Globe and an Emmy—closed shop in 2012.
Season two of Brooklyn Nine-Nine starts Sept. 28 on Fox. Sedgwick first appears in the second episode.
