Lily Allen announced today that from now on she will be going by her married name, Lily Rose Cooper. The “Smile” singer says she’ll be heading back into the studio soon to work on new solo material, though no release dates have been set for anything.
Allen/Cooper stopped touring in 2009 and hasn’t made a record since that year’s It’s Not Me, It’s You. In the interim she married building company owner Sam Cooper, worked on songs for the musical version of Bridget Jones’ Diary, had a baby, got pregnant again, started a record label and clothing business, and wrote a song for T-Pain—all thing that you can now credit to Lily Rose Cooper, not Lily Allen. There is no Lily Allen anymore.
