At age 36, Lin-Manuel Miranda is one Best Song win at February 26’s Oscars away from becoming the youngest EGOT of all time. But whether he nabs that unofficial honor (for Moana’s “How Far I’ll Go”) or not, Miranda isn’t done with movies. Talking to The Hollywood Reporter on their Awards Chatter podcast, Miranda confirmed that there’s a Hamilton movie in the works, although we might all have to play Aaron Burr for a bit and “Wait For It.”

“Yes! Who knows when?” he briskly responded to a question about a potential film version of his massively successful historical musical. “I don’t think I’m done with that role, by any stretch,” he told the Reporter, pointing out that it’s the rare character that allows an actor to play everything from a lovestruck suitor to a grieving father, or from a celebrated war hero to the despondent victim in a duel. Miranda also mentioned that he’d just read a first draft script for a film version of In The Heights, his previous musical, penned by original writer Quiara Alegría Hudes. When asked about what he wants to do next, semi-jokingly gave “the most cliched answer in the history of Hollywood”: “What I really want to do is direct.“
