Listen to the new Doctor's old post-punk band (featuring Craig Ferguson)

As befits an actor who just landed the role of Doctor Who, pop culture's most famous time traveler, Peter Capaldi's past is being relentlessly revisited. In addition to his fondness for fuckity and his Doctor Who fanzine article from 1976, Capaldi's short-lived stint as a musician has been dug up—most notably, his brief tenure in the obscure band Dreamboys. The group also featured a young Craig Ferguson on drums, and as far as moody, early-'80s, Josef K-like Scottish post-punk goes, it's pretty decent. The track below comes form Dreamboy's 7-inch record from 1980, "Bela Lugosi's Birthday."
