LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, De La Soul, and DJ Z-Trip announce package tour

In a move that should satiate at least some '90s hip-hop enthusiasts, LL Cool J, DJ Z-Trip, Ice Cube, Public Enemy, and De La Soul have announced a joint tour together. The Kings Of The Mic tour kicks off May 23 in Tucson, Arizona and is partially in support of LL’s new record, Authentic, due out April 30.

Tourmates Z-Trip and Chuck D are featured on the record's lead single, the truly horrible “Whaddup,” which the trio will no doubt play live each night, because they’re cruel sadists who hate their fans. On the other hand, attendees will also probably get to hear “Me, Myself, And I,” “Fight The Power,” “I Can’t Live Without My Radio,” and “Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It,” so it’s a trade-off.
