Lollapalooza bands will be popping up around Chicago today, including 2:30 near our office

Uber will offer something other than a ride today, as the car-calling company is launching concerts on demand around Chicago with six bands that are playing Lollapalooza this weekend. Starting at 2 p.m. central, you can request a concert in your area, and if you’re lucky, one of these bands will show up on a mobile stage and play for you: Phantogram, RAC, Wildcat! Wildcat!, The Kooks, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Into It Over It. Because we’re special, the first one is arriving near The A.V. Club’s office (specifically near Ed Debevic’s, at the corner of Wells and Ontario) at about 2:15 p.m. today. Yes, that’s in half an hour. You should come down and hang out. No matter which of these bands ends up showing up, it beats working.
