Mazzy Star to release new music for the first time in 15 years

Sultry '90s indie-rock duo Mazzy Star is best-known for "Fade Into You" and lots of similarly sad, slow, and sexy songs. The group hasn't put out an album since 1996's Among My Swan, but Mazzy Star appears to be back in the swing of being a working musical outfit again. A new single called "Common Burn" (backed with the B-side "Lay Myself Down") will be released digitally Oct. 31, with a vinyl release to follow. It's no clear whether this release is teasing a new album or is a stand-alone release, but you can preview "Common Burn" here. [via OneThirtyBPM]
