Nasim Pedrad signs on to John Mulaney's pilot, could be leaving SNL

Best known for Saturday Night Live roles as awkward teen Bedilia, Underground Rock Minute co-host Li’l Blaster, Kim Kardashian, and any girl that looks a lot like Nasim Pedrad, Nasim Pedrad has been cast as the female lead in John Mulaney’s NBC comedy pilot. Should the series get picked up, she would leave SNL along with Mulaney, who’s a writer for the show.

The as-yet-unnamed comedy stars Mulaney as a New York-based stand-up comedian who writes for a game show host played by Martin Short. Pedrad would play his roommate Jane, a sweet but lazy teacher. Comedian Griffin Newman will play his wacky other roommate, while Elliott Gould has signed on to play their gay neighbor.
