Natalie Portman co-wrote a "raunchy" comedy, isn't your little girl anymore

Natalie Portman is reportedly shopping around a “raunchy, ribald comedy” that she co-wrote with college friend Laura Moses, according to the L.A. Times. It’s about a chambermaid who forgets to button her bloomers, and all the assembled gentry get a glimpse of her knickers and alabaster ankles, causing them to splutter all over their Earl Grey. No, just kidding. The script, titled Bring Your Own, is described as a “female-themed Superbad,” about a girl party thrown by two “unlucky in love” ladies, where everyone is asked to bring along a single man, because it’s impossible to find a good one of those these days—especially if you look like Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway, who’s reportedly eying the second lead. As hinted up top, “raunch” isn’t exactly the sort of thing you expect from Natalie Portman, her “Natalie Raps” video aside, but lately she’s been making efforts to sully her lace-doily image by doing stuff like making out with Mila Kunis in Black Swan, and starring in a “friends with benefits” comedy with Ashton Kutcher. It’s like witnessing a repressed high school girl’s college blossoming on screen. (Next up: Portman stars in Does My Nose Ring Freak You Out, Dad?)
