NBC cancels Outsourced

In what is perhaps the most demanded cancellation in the network’s history, NBC has given the boot to Outsourced, the show that daringly illustrated the comedic differences between Indian people and people who are not Indian. The news broke first on the Twitter feed of actor Rizwan Manji, who tweeted, “Before it hits the trades, Outsourced isn’t coming back. Sad to see it go.” You may now begin lamenting that the show was unfairly unappreciated—or save that stuff for Perfect Couples, which The Futon Critic says has also been canceled alongside America’s Next Great Restaurant. These are still unconfirmed by “the trades,” of course, but it seems likely that Manji is telling the truth about Outsourced at least. UPDATE: And now Deadline has confirmed  that Outsourced is gone.
