Ryan Seacrest in talks to develop his own TV network

Notable Hobbit and frequent Joel McHale target Ryan Seacrest is teaming with mega agency CAA and über promoter AEG to launch a cable network. Tentatively titled AXS, the channel will be "music, pop culture, and lifestyle oriented," including the broadcast of concerts produced by AEG. Plus AXS will not so much be Seacrest-fronted as it will "leverage both his experience and connections," according to Forbes. The article continues by laying out the case for why this might not be the worst idea in the world: Seacrest has his "finger on the pulse" and "a knack for luring talent," pointing to Seacrest as a key reason the Kardashians wound up at E!
