Jason Bateman is stepping behind a movie camera for the first time in the upcoming film Bad Words, about an adult who tries to compete in a children’s spelling bee. (It also stars the fantastic Kathryn Hahn, who should be in every movie.) Now A.V. Club readers in Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and San Francisco can see it for free, because we’re giving away tickets. And if you live in the L.A. area, you can see Bad Words with our own Todd VanDerWerff, whose strict upbringing expressly forbade the use of such language. But they’re not the boss of him anymore!
