You can’t be a defining concept record of your time if you don’t have an accompanying movie directed by an acclaimed filmmaker. Hence Scenes From The Suburbs, a short film made by Spike Jonze that’s inspired by Arcade Fire’s 2010 album The Suburbs. The 28-minute film was written by Arcade Fire’s Win and Will Butler along with Jonze, and follows a narrator as he recalls his teenaged years in a suburban wasteland. So, you know, it’s basically like the album.
