Shudder To Think's Craig Wedren goes theatrical, interplanetary on a new project

Shudder To Think frontman Craig Wedren has teamed up with composer Jefferson Friedman and the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME) for a new collaborative project. On In Love will be released May 27 on New Amsterdam Records, but A.V. Club readers can check out the lead single, “Tarrying,” below. Delicate and dynamic, the track is justly theatrical, considering the project aims, according to Wedren and Friedman, to tell “an alternate history from the moment violins went one way and guitars the other.” The duo also describes the record as “pop music from an as-yet-undiscovered planet,” which makes total sense.
