Skrillex has a weird haircut, a ton of money, and three Grammy Awards. Now he could be on his way to an Oscar. The EDM artist is collaborating with Cliff Martinez—who most recently scored Drive, among many other films—to make an original score for Harmony Korine’s upcoming feature Spring Breakers.

The man also known as Sonny Moore has reportedly been working on the score while touring the world, composing what a press release calls “menacing pads, stabs, and beats” for the movie. In other words, anyone not on the EDM “wub” train, buy aspirin now.

Spring Breakers, which is due out in 2013, stars Vanessa Hudgens, James Franco, Gucci Mane, Selena Gomez, and Ashley Benson. It tells the tale of four drunk and drugged college girls who, prompted by Franco as a rapper named “Alien,” see just how far they can push their spring break.
