Taste-testing Michelangelo's pizza masterpieces

The intrepid people over at Cinemassacre decided to go through the various pizza concoctions that Michelangelo, their favorite Ninja Turtle, created over the show's 10 seasons. While we here at The A.V. Club are a bit miffed that we never thought of this for Taste Test, we have to give Cenemassacre begrudging respect for their intestinal fortitude.

For those of you with the stomach to try some of these yourself, the topping combos were:

  • Tuna Fish, Peanut Butter, and Grape Jelly
  • Peanut Butter and Clams
  • Peanut Butter and Avacado with extra pickles
  • Marshmallow and Pepperoni (Which we are told is surprisingly good)
  • Marshmallow and asparagus
  • Guacamole and Marshmallow
  • Butterscotch and Onions with Anchovies (Most tasters seemingly wanted to puke after this one)
  • Tea and Toast (English Breakfast pizza? These tasters use Earl Grey)
  • Chocolate Sprinkles and Clam Sauce
  • Chocolate Chip (This is the one Michelangelo hates the most)
  • Chocolate Fudge with extra Garlic
  • Chocolate Fudge, Sardine, Chili Pepper with plenty of whipped cream on top
  • Anchovy and Hot Fudge
  • Pepperoni and Hot Fudge
  • Pepperoni with Pickles
  • Jelly Bean and Sausage (Cross your fingers for a lime Jelly Bean)
  • Butter and Salami Pizza with Double Yogurt Topping (Careful, it's messy)
  • Shredded Coconut and Sweet Pickles
  • Strawberry Surprise with Anchovy Sauce
  • Hot Oatmeal (It's for breakfast)
  • Popcorn ("Now that's what I call a special treat!" though food fights may ensue)
  • Anchovies and Bananas
  • Goulash
  • Granola and Licorice (These tasters used Red Twizzlers, but real badasses should go for Black Licorice)

Marshmallow and Pepperoni appears to be the surprise winner, while anything involving hot fudge should be eaten at one's own risk. The video also ends with the entire group of testers giving their once-favorite fictional turtle the middle finger and a hearty "fuck you." Looks like taste does not transcend species.
