The Amazing Spider-Man

July 3, 2012

Cramming this summer's superhero square-off into a single week, here's another trailer to remind you that there are other major comic-book franchises vying for your attention besides The Avengers. In this third look at Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man, the kitchen-sink angst of the previous preview is answered by plenty of action—crashing skyscrapers, skateboard flips, your first good glimpse the film's big foe besides Peter Parker's hang-ups about his dad—and dialogue that proves that while the web-shooters are mechanical, the quip-shooters are totally organic. Though Parker's family drama looms large even over these couple of minutes (and according to Webb, it'll stick around over at least the next couple of movies), your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man would like to remind you that he also has a big, adventure-filled blockbuster for you.
