The Rolling Stones will reissue Some Girls in November

A dark, nasty, and thrillingly spiteful retort to the punk and new wave bands of the late '70s, Some Girls remains the most vital album of the Rolling Stones' post-"glory years" period, kicking off a mini renaissance that also includes 1980's underrated Emotional Rescue and 1981's mega-selling Tattoo You. It appears that even the band acknowledges this, as Some Girls is set to get the same reissue treatment recently afforded to Exile On Main St., with a variety of deluxe reissues set for release Nov. 21. The editions will include new packaging, an essay by Rolling Stone's Anthony DeCurtis, and unreleased photographs. Like Exile, the reissued Grils will also have outtakes that have been recently finished off by the band. [Via Rolling Stone]
