The long-delayed fourth album by The Strokes finally has a release date, March 22, a fervent rumor recently confirmed by bassist Nikolai Fraiture on his own Facebook page. (Also confirmed by bassist Nikolai Fraiture’s Facebook page: He is a fan of The Strokes.) Pitchfork quotes an interview that Fraiture gave to the BBC, in which he said that the new, as-yet-untitled album is “the album which should have been made between Room On Fire and First Impressions Of Earth” and would return the group to its “classic sound.” So, guitars.
