Three more distracting famous people added to The Office season finale

At this point it might be easier to list which actors are not appearing in The Office’s May 19 season finale, as the show’s team rushes to fill the vacuum of Steve Carell’s exit on April 28 with as many distracting famous faces as possible, like the television equivalent of dangling shiny keys in front of a fussy baby. So go ahead and cross these names off: Ray Romano, James Spader, and British sketch comic Catherine Tate (best known here for her work on Doctor Who) will join the previously announced Will Ferrell, Ricky Gervais, and Will Arnett to finish things out. Now, as to that list of who will not be appearing as of the time of this posting: Sir Ian McKellen, Catherine Bach, the nerdy kid from the first season of Charles In Charge, Sterling Hayden reanimated as a hologram, any of those puppets from Genesis’ “Land Of Confusion” video, etc.
