Today in music videos: A man’s world turns upside-down at a laundromat in this new Postal Service video

The 10th-anniversary reissue of The Postal Service’s only album Give Up featured 15 bonus tracks, but only two previously unreleased. One of those songs, “A Tattered Line Of String,” now gets a video to go along with it—good timing since Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello are in the midst of a big tour. (You can catch the band on The Colbert Report tonight.) The AB/CD/CD-directed clip features the standard plaid-clad everyman minding his own business while washing his clothes, but the harsh, spinning world just has other ideas, tossing him into a miasma of dirty laundry. It’s nightmarish enough to make anyone start the search for an apartment with in-unit washer and dryer.
