The trailer for V/H/S Viral brings the horror to the Internet

The trailer for the third entry in the V/H/S horror anthology series reveals… well, not very much. This time the thread tying the unrelated short films is a loose plot wherein “fame-obsessed teens hell-bent on capturing the next viral video discover they are the stars of the latest Internet sensation.” Much of the preview is spent revisiting clips from the first two films, while the last minute offers only some hyperkinetic cuts from the third—including an intriguing shot of some strange creatures with glowing eyes. While it will be difficult to top the inventive entries from Gareth Evans and Jason Eisener in V/H/S 2, in keeping with the franchise tradition, V/H/S Viral continues to favor indie and cult filmmakers, including Marcel Sarmiento (Dead Girl), and Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes).
