Watch a bizarre, frenetic video for Superchunk’s “Staying Home”

“Staying Home” is the shortest song on Superchunk’s newest record I Hate Music, clocking in at just over a minute. It’s a loud burst of consistent punches, and now it has an appropriately spastic and strange video, directed by Taiyo Kimura. The short clip is full of strange images: the title of the video on someone’s toenails, a giant eyeball balloon, a very strange way to brush one’s teeth, a bunch of surreal stop motion sequences—oh yeah, and a guy eating rice and curry out of a toilet. Good luck keeping your lunch down or getting that out of your brain.
