Grab those bandannas and handkerchiefs: On Wednesday, Band Of Horses brought the tears to Jimmy Kimmel Live when the band played the late Jason Molina’s track “I’ve Been Riding With The Ghost,” with frontman Ben Bridwell sporting a Magnolia Electric Co. shirt. Molina died in March after a long struggle with alcohol.
Band Of Horses also performed its own song, “The General Specific,” from 2007’s Cease To Begin, but it’s the cover that really shines. Watch it below and, if you’re anywhere near Bloomington, Indiana, consider attending the May 11 Molina tribute show at the Bluebird Nightclub. [via Pitchfork]
