Watch Ty Segall rock the local news and turn the anchors punk

Ty Segall brought his loose, loud, wailing ways to Chicago's WGN Morning News Tuesday, inspiring the hosts to rock like never before. During a promotional appearance for his new album Twins, Segall polished off his performance of “You’re The Doctor” by screaming “Chicago” repeatedly over the sound of feedback until his time ran out. And while the show has a history of being very open-minded when selecting musical guests (past performers include Wilco and polka-punk group The Polkaholics), it's probably safe to say that nobody expected the show's anchors to respond to Segall the way they did—by screaming encouragements and throwing things all over the studio. The moral of the story: In every mild-mannered newscaster beats the heart of a headbanger.
