Wavves announces new album for 2013, releases “Sail To The Sun” single

Nathan Williams is making, well, Wavves today with the announcement of a new LP due next spring through his new label, Mom + Pop. The album is still untitled, but the band has already released a single, “Sail To The Sun,” along with an accompanying video on Pitchfork TV. The video was created by directing team BLACK // DOCTOR and stars Steven Bartlett as a preacher with some questionable extracurricular hobbies—namely, pill-poppin’, drug-smokin’, and prostitute-fraternizin’. While clerical scandal may be somewhat of an easy target, the song’s catchiness bodes well for the rest of the album.

Wavves’ last release was the Life Sux EP in Sept. 2011.
