In news that could put an end to speculation that Will Arnett will end up as a series regular on The Office, the sitcom nomad has just signed on to that Christina Applegate/Maya Rudolph pilot from former Saturday Night Live writer Emily Spivey—a move that suggests he either doesn’t already have a regular job next TV season, or he’s so used to having his shows prematurely canceled, he’s adopted a nihilistic, kill-’em-all approach. As reported earlier, the untitled comedy follows Applegate’s working mom character as she balances career and motherhood in open defiance of natural law. Arnett will play her stay-at-home husband, who’s probably just a little bit sleazy.
