Kiefer Sutherland might be back to protecting the nation from various threats (on TV), but he’s keeping one cowboy boot firmly planted in the music industry. Sutherland, who launched a record label while working on 24, released his debut album Down In A Hole just last month. It’s a folk-tinged and deeply confessional work—he’s previously described it as the “the closest thing I’ve ever had to a journal or diary.”
The new Designated Survivor star is just at home on stage as he is in the White House, as things are considerably less bloody. Check out the tune “Can’t Stay Away,” and marvel at the way Jack Bauer’s gravelly voice blends with his backup singers.
The A.V. Club is giving away one signed copy of Down In A Hole, so you can enjoy delving into Sutherland‘s mind from the comfort of your own home. For your chance to win, simply send an email to email@example.com with the subject line “Down In A Hole.” Be sure to include your name and mailing address in the body of the email. U.S. and Canada entrants only. On Monday, October 3, we’ll select one winner from our eligible entries and notify them shortly thereafter.
