Wittily doctored album covers combine superheroes, Bette Midler, and Herb Alpert

Robert Jimenez has, in the past, produced a number of pop-culture related sketches and paintings, but it’s his latest work that’s really getting him noticed. Jimenez altered five different but easily recognizable record covers, adding images of famous comic book characters, from Catwoman to Lobo. Bruce Wayne has somehow usurped Herb Albert as the head of the Tijuana Brass, and Bette Midler is now Wonder Woman. Jimenez was selling the records for $40 on his site, but they’ve all since sold. Here’s hoping he makes some more. [via Dangerous Minds]
