Crank 2 downloadable audio commentary… by ZMF
No related
DVD commentaries are generally pretty boring and pointless—a way for directors and actors to drone on about movies that often don't warrant that much attention. That isn't necessarily true for Crank 2: High Voltage, which features a pretty funny track from mononymic writer-director team Neveldine/Taylor.
But we thought it might be even more fun to ask a superfan—frequent A.V. Club commenter ZODIAC MOTHERFUCKER—to take a crack at a full-length audio commentary on his favorite movie of the year. He was game, and provided us with a 95-minute MP3 of his musings on the movie. You’ll get some play-by-play, some thoughts on ownage, some life philosophy, and, if you stick with it until the end, an extended shout-out to various A.V. Club staffers and commenters.
ZMF would be the first to tell you that this is way more fun if you actually sync it up with the movie, so go out and rent it and play along. Below, you’ll find a short scene with ZMF’s commentary synced up, as well as a link to either play the entire commentary track, or download it. Neither the sample below or the actual audio commentary are work-safe, so proceed with caution.

It’s a cheap faux-found-footage film about killer moon rocks, but at least the director and editor love it.

January 9, 2012The stars had fun (and discomfort) selecting women by their breasts and making ballet gestures, but that doesn’t make the latest Conan any more watchable.
