Crooked Fingers: "Your Apocalypse"
When we spirited Eric Bachmann and Liz Durrett up to the 22nd floor of the Chicago Tribune building earlier this year for Crooked Fingers' cover of "Summertime" (part of our Undercover Summer Break series), we knew that something special was happening, and we couldn't just stop at one song. In addition to "Summertime," they did "Sleep All Summer" and a pair of brand new Crooked Fingers songs from the upcoming album Breaks In The Armor, due out October 11 on Merge. Here's the first one, "Your Apocalypse." Next week, we'll run the beautiful outdoor version of "Bad Blood." (If you pre-order the album at the Merge site, you'll get demo versions of the entire record, too.)
