Newswire Dr. Dre debuts Detox...in a Dr Pepper commercial

Billboard is reporting that a new commercial for Dr Pepper offers the public its first glimpse of Dr. Dre's Chinese Democracy, the perennially delayed Detox. It isn't much of a debut, either: Viewers hear roughly 10 seconds of "Shit Popped Off" at the end of the 30-second commercial (and catch some crafty product placement for Dre's headphones, Beats).

Billboard says Detox is currently slated for a "late 2009" release, but Dre fans know not to hold their breath by this point. In the meantime, there's this:
