Here's Patrick Stewart pimping his live-action and animation guest spot on American Dad
There's a very special quality in the way Patrick Stewart does humor. Whether he's on Saturday Night Live as a baker boasting about his erotic cakes made to look like pooping women, on Ricky Gervais' Extras playing a lech with endless fantasies about psychically undressing women, or just smirking through a particularly wry scene on Star Trek: The Next Generation or in an X-Men movie, he tends to take on a smarmy avuncular quality that's funny entirely on its own merits. That's what he does in this exclusive clip from/about his American Dad episode, which premieres this Sunday, January 27, at 9:30 p.m. Eastern on Fox. In the episode, as in the clip, a live-action Stewart introduces the audience to the playBlood Crieth Unto Heaven, a parody of the Pulitzer-winner August: Osage County, but he also appears in animated form in the show, and in the play within the show. It's fairly complicated, but the clip explains a lot. No reveal, however, on whether he undresses anyone with his mental powers.
