The Internet needs more Game Of Thrones fan parodies like White Walkers need fire (references!), but when they’re as well-executed as “School Of Thrones,” we’ll allow it. Game Of Thrones’ world of houses, sigils, and family honor translates surprisingly well to the clique-obsessed world of Westeros Valley High, where the Starks, Lannisters, Baratheons, and Greyjoys battle it out on the field of popularity, taking little notice of dragon-obsessed transfer student (presumably from Essos Valley) Daenerys Targaryen and her horrible wig. “School Of Thrones” really succeeds in the details, though, from the spot-on opening title sequence to Razor-riding Renly mocking his dweeby evangelist older brother Stannis (“I’m not adorable, I’m Stannis!) to the suitably twerpy actor playing Joffrey. The brand-new webseries is only one episode old—new episodes post on Sundays—but like its inspiration, the pilot bodes very well for future installments.
