Newswire Melissa Leo joins cast of new David Simon HBO show with Bunk and Lester

Variety is reporting that Melissa Leo, fresh from her Oscar nomination for Frozen River, has joined the cast of the new HBO series Treme. The show, created by Wire genius David Simon, is about the post-Katrina reconstruction of New Orleans. Leo joins a couple of Wire dudes already attached, Wendell "Bunk Moreland" Pierce and Clarke "Lester Freamon" Peters.
