Metallica is totally making a 3D movie
It's been a while since we've been able to report on Metallica without also using the words "Lou Reed" and "egads," but 2012 is a new year, and the metal stalwarts are moving forward with a so-called "3D project" that is "in the very early stages of production," according to the band's website. Presumably it will be a concert film, though Metallica isn't divulging any details at the moment. In the meantime, fans will want to look out Jan. 31 for the CD version of Beyond Magnetic, a four-song EP of Death Magnetic leftovers that experiments radically with things like melody and song structure that were absent from Lulu.
