M.I.A. retires at Bonnaroo
Sinatra did it. So did Bowie, Cher, and Jay-Z. Now M.I.A. is pulling the old show biz retirement move, announcing Friday that her performance at Bonnaroo was her last. The rapper repeated that it was her last show three times. and said "thanks for coming to my last gig," before leaving the stage. She also said, "This is my last show, and I'm glad I'm spending it with all my hippies." So, that's pretty definitive, no? Until the inevitable "comeback" tour, that is. In the meantime, M.I.A. will use the time to record new material and, perhaps, work on her golf game.
